Wet-strength tissue paper is a thin and translucent paper that holds together when wet. When saturated with encaustic medium it goes almost completely clear, opening up incredible potential for layering and depth in your mixed-media encaustic artworks. You can use it to add drawings, laser prints, gelli prints, and other imagery to your artwork. It’s quicker and less finicky than photocopy transfers while giving a similar effect.

This demo will show a variety of ways in which wet-strength tissue can be used with encaustics, as well as tips and tricks on how to use it effectively.
