About Session

This year, our Keynote Speaker, Multidisciplinary Encaustic Artist Amanta Scott, will present an engaging video and artist talk —  sharing stories about her creative journey and her detailed research into how depictions of women in the arts relate to ongoing issues facing women today. 

Please note, while visually compelling and highly entertaining, Amanta’s presentation also covers some pretty heavy themes which can be emotionally and psychologically triggering. 

Later, Amanta’s interactive workshop Stories from a Suitcase offers a fun, safe and inviting forum for creative expression and release. Exploring perception, choice, and the subconscious — encouraging diverse perspectives and interpretations — Stories from a Suitcase empowers us to share our stories and reactions through a series of personal and thought-provoking art installations inspired by a crazy assortment of found objects.
