About Session

Art exhibitions and presentations showcase objects that appeal and connect to the viewer. Art audiences are diverse and when planning an exhibition, we need to consider a number of factors including gender, cultural diversity, different learning styles, alternative ways of presentation, inclusive and accessible design.

In this presentation we will begin with a review and discussion about how to see accessibility and inclusiveness in curating and presenting art. We will explore a number of Accessibility Toolkits that have been developed to support the practice and philosophy of creating accessible exhibition design. We will also focus in on creating and displaying encaustic work and what to consider when creating and displaying encaustic work in a much more inclusive and accessible manner.
