Canadian Encaustic Conference 2027
Presenters and Workshop Leaders Application
For the 2027 Conference, we are seeking new presentations and new workshops. Preference will be given to offerings that were not available at the 2025 Conference. We are interested in innovative approaches and new techniques that offer a fresh perspective. Proposals are due September 30, 2026.
Conference Dates: Friday, Sept. 10 through Sunday, Sept. 12, 2027
Pre-Conference Workshops: Tuesday, Sept. 7 through Thursday, Sept. 9, 2027
Post-Conference Workshops: Monday, Sept. 13 through Thursday, Sept. 16, 2027
Conference Presenters
We are looking for people to do 60-minute talks and/or demos during the conference.
Pre/Post Conference Workshop Leaders
We are looking for people to lead single or multi-day workshops in the week before and after the conference.
Benefits
- We pay CARFAC rates. For 2027, the rates are set at $563/half day or $787/day
- Presenters and Workshop Leaders will receive free registration to the Encaustic Conference
- Workshop Venue fees are covered by the Conference
- Participant registrations are collected by the Conference
- Payment is in Canadian dollars
- We do not reimburse for transportation or accommodation
- Morning and afternoon snacks as well as lunches are included during the 3-day Conference. Note: the banquet dinner is NOT included.

Submissions are due September 30, 2026. Before you begin, please have the following ready:
- Bio statement
- Full presentation/workshop title and description
- All written material should be in the third person using complete sentences. It will be used widely in our marketing including on our website, in social posts, on posters, in event listings, etc.
- Support photos at an aspect ratio of 4:5 and 16:9. Please do not use the same support image for more than one workshop proposal.
