Celebrating Pollinators Exhibition
April is recognized as Earth Month, a time to raise awareness about environmental issues and care for our planet. This exhibition highlights the significance of pollinators—bees, butterflies, moths, beetles, ants, flies, wasps, birds, bats, and small mammals—in sustaining life on earth. These remarkable creatures are essential to the cycle of life, ensuring the growth of fruits, vegetables, and flowers while supporting biodiversity on earth. Often overlooked, pollinators are the unsung heroes of our food systems, playing a crucial role in the health and balance of our environment.
This exhibition also speaks to the unique connection between pollinators and encaustic. Beeswax is a precious gift from hardworking honeybees. By celebrating pollinators, we express our thanks for the beeswax that makes encaustic art possible.
