NEAR & FAR is an international exhibition featuring 160 encaustic works by 113 artists from 10 countries.

As we begin the one-year countdown to the inaugural Canadian Encaustic Conference, we invited artists from all over the world — from places both Near & Far — to submit encaustic artworks to this Online Exhibition.

Waxing Poetic included over 160 encaustic works by 119 artists from 15 countries.

We invited artists to choose a poem or a specific verse that resonates with them, to explore the emotions, themes, or imagery of the chosen poem and use the unique qualities of encaustic to translate it into a visual work of art.
